For the Lebanon-weary

A small distraction.

The old Myers-Briggs personality test, reworked as a 10-second blog meme: What's Your Personality Type?

(via kinra)

Like astrology, but with scientific upholstery.

You Are An INTJ
The Scientist

You have a head for ideas - and you are good at improving systems.

Logical and strategic, you prefer for everything in your life to be organized.

You tend to be a bit skeptical. You're both critical of yourself and of others.

Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you.

You would make an excellent scientist, engineer, or programmer.

On the real test I tend to score INTJ or ENTJ (apparently my introvert/extrovert ratings are roughly the same).

Ha, my first exposure to Myers-Briggs was a certain biology project, if I recall correctly.

That said, once I was an INTP. Now I am an ENTP. I'm just more megalomaniacal, I guess.

Funny, once in a prior life I had a summer job in a psych testing/counseling practice, and asked one of the psychologists one day how tests like the Myers-Briggs, MMPI, etc. work. His response? "Well, they're kind of like a horoscope..."

Ah, I had to take this test several times. 16 personality types for 6 billion people is rather reductive. I also usually dislike the descriptions given on the Net because they tend to be mostly positive (you can't be a failed asshole, right?).

Anyway, this one gives you a more quantative analysis for your type formula.

For whatever it's worth (does anyone really care?), I tend to have a more or less equal S/N and P/J and a strong preference for E and T. My scored personality types have been either ENTP, ENTJ or ESTP.

Indeed. I remember Dr L really grilling us on design/methodology flaws. We were prepared, but I learned a lot about the scientific method from that one presentation.

Wow. INFP. I always always score INTP on these things. Now I'm tempted to go back and change each answer one at a time to figure out what the scoring system is.

Heh. Maybe you need to make quizzes for Aqoul like "Which MENA country am I?" and "Which whackjob political faction should I join?"
