Vacation, etc
I'm flying to the Dominican Republic next Friday. Perfect timing, really. Am burning out and would like to execute some of my coworkers in fine medieval fashion.

Maybe you can get in the habit of asking yourself, "What Would Tamerlane Do?"
I suspect it would frequently involve decapitation and possibly building pyramids of skulls.

if you need some help with "layoffs" and "downsizings," let me know.

Blue92: Tamerlane (the historical one) didn't do pyramids of skulls - heck, Genghis Khan had already invented that one. He one-upped the old Khans by building pyramids of living people, skulls still attached.

Curious. You're saying he never did a single one, not even once?
That's rather odd in that I am sure I've seen reference to a 90,000 skull pyramid (in Baghdad, 1401), but perhaps those authors were incorrect or incomplete--there was also some reference to "120 towers" with embedded skulls. I could check, if you like.
Of course, one should probably be considered exceedingly pedantic to interpret such a statement as an attempt at an authoritative claim instead of the off-hand remark that it clearly was. *cough* But perhaps it would useful for future reference if you would write for us a full dissertation regarding what Timur *would* do in Eerie's case, since obviously even mere possibilities are not open to any interpretation.

Tamerlane would call in sick. Fuck those guys.
Have fun in the sun, chica! :)

I was just going to say that Tamerlane would be considerably more laid back, and might suggest you have a nice brownie or something.
Got any room in your suitcase? At the moment I'm wishing I'd followed through on the whole plan of staying in Andalucia and becoming a flamenco guitarist.

I have to get out of here now. Some other area is now negotiating with my mgr to have me consult on their project.
It's nice to be wanted, but not while I'm losing my mind.

Just saw this. Be careful. I believe Rush Limbaugh was returning from the Dominican Republic when he had his latest brush with the law. So be on the lookout for whales with Enzyte Bob smiles. Not that they'll be all that hard to spot.

Now that's a fine mental image.
Didn't realize I had to plan on dodging nasty old Viagra-addled men. Mostly I expected to be dodging sleazy bankers/consultants/frat boys.
