Apologies for the extended absence

Very busy with school and work until around mid-April, various projects and 3 papers due in the next three weeks. I've also become slightly addicted to running and may even end up doing a half or full marathon someday.

Obviously this means less time for boys, which means fewer sordid tales to entertain the degenerates out there.

Anyway, I will mostly be lurking and doing minimal housekeeping around Aqoul for the next little while. Will jot down some reflections from my poli sci course, finally do a review of Infidel and fix some bugs when I get back.

In the meantime, feel free to use this space for pointless thoughts, requests for improvement, complaints, inappropriate comments, etc.

Was wondering when you would finally grace us with your presence. Glad to her you are keeping busy with school, but sorry that there aren't any updates on the dating front (guess that makes me one of the degenerates)...

"and may even end up doing a half or full marathon someday."

Heh. Be sure to let us know when you reach the point where you can discreetly vomit without breaking your pace.

Not for me. Lifting heavy objects is less time consuming an exercise hobby than trying to run to the next county

If she keeps on running and marathoning, though, she'll never have to post an entry entitled Apologies for the extended abs.

Yuck. No more boring way to stay in shape has ever been invented. Might as well watch grass grow.
As they say in Boston (next one's on April 16th, for you fans out there. Personally, I think you all are probably axe murderers on the side) "It must be Spring. The saps are running."

I do it for the endorphins, pantom.

Actually, had a rather rude awakening the other day when I ran into Banker and mentioned how much I enjoyed running. Turns out he's training for a triathlon. Stupid bastard. And eponymous: sadly there is nothing sordid going on. Closest thing was him reading to me from a leather-bound collection of Emerson's essays while I fixed his router (again). Made me feel a bit odd and disoriented.

My friends have started calling him Kryptonite.

Why? Because he's rare, fell from the sky, radiant, and powerful enough to kill Superman?

Posted by: matthew hogan at April 4, 2007 03:32 AM

Bingo, particularly the last part. I am practically invincible, yet he has an odd effect on me.

By all that's holy to anyone - just GET IT OVER WITH.

"Odd effect" my a**. Just DO IT.

Like the thriathlon idea. Less running involved.

didn't Nike the goddess run a lot? Or was that Mercury. And wasn't Nike harmed by kryptonite too?

Posted by: Klaus [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 5, 2007 08:24 AM

I hesitate to say this. However, kryptonite is exactly right.
She's met her match. Now all she has to do is admit it.

Never.

Well, when the inevitable thunderstorm bursts through the clouds, just make sure you don't go out in the rain without a raincoat.

You sad, sad people.

Nah, just entertaining myself between bouts of running P&L's and letting the spreadsheet calculate the odds on new trading vehicles. The dual-core processor in my spanking new HP is getting quite the workout in the background.
Plus, it's too damn cold to do anything outside. Damn crappy April so far.
Gotta do something to pass the time...
