A short note
Once again, I've fallen into the habit of silently haunting Aqoul rather than participating. The last few months have been rather grueling for me on a personal level. However, I have emerged happy and very conscious of the improbably high concentration of blessings in my life. Rather like returning home after a difficult journey and being stunned by the glittering wonders of one's own kingdom.
Also, I received a bit of fan mail and some interesting questions...probably worthwhile to post my answers here shortly.

"...have emerged happy and very conscious of the improbably high concentration of blessings in my life.."
Let's see:
a) far above average looks
b) still-living parents who basically respect and love you
c) a different handsome suitor per week
d) loyal band of friends
e) personal/intellectual hobbies that're a focus of Internet blogging and fandom
f) fine job with great security in interesting field
g) substantial brains
It's only shocking that "grueling" could even squeeze in a passing visit.

Well there is the downside of me giving professional advice.

A periodic hiatus from blogging is healthy, particularly when there are more important concerns in the real world.
Blogging can be amusing or energizing but it can also be a grind.

Are you at least checking your 'Aqoul email?

Never mind the posting, what about Ibn Kafka my dear. I look forward to his reasonable Leftism, so I can pick fights with him over liberalism. We will both enjoy it, he and I.

I am checking my email.
Re: Ibn Kafka's new home, I am trying to figure out what is causing the comment delay first (notice how long it takes to publish a comment after hitting "Post"). This version of the software has a real scaling problem.

"This version of the software has a real scaling problem."
I know some good dermatologists, if needed.
