Where is my throne of skulls?
As mentioned in an earlier note, I was offered a promotion in January, the day I returned from India. New office, new mandate, not fully staffed up.
On Friday, they asked me if I wanted to run the office. In promotion terms, this isn't a step as much as a flying leap. According to a friend, it also means I get a throne of skulls and a cadre of assassins (he is joking, mostly).
So I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, but I'm quite sure I can do the job once I figure out all the details.

You need to accessorize: sabre, riding crop, leather boots, hunting knife, large bodyguards. The assassins are for the night, but you'll need the bodyguards for daytime events.
I mean really, didn't anyone teach you these things?

don't forget the ax man. in spite of your dark wardrobe and throne of skulls, you won't want to get dirty with the blood of the laid off.

I dunno. Thrones of skulls and cadres of assassins seem so old-fashioned. Won't it be the future soon? Shouldn't you have an army of killer robots and an orbital death station?
